The slabs were taken sometime between 9.30pm on Thursday (October 29) and 7.30am on Friday (October 30).

It is now estimated that nearly 80 slabs were taken, all of which were originally laid in the 19th century.

PC Darren Worsfold said: “The stolen stones are of a great historical value and we take Heritage Crimes such as this extremely seriously.

“Electric gates to the property have been badly damaged which could suggest a vehicle was used to gain access.”
