UPDATE: Power partially restored in Storrington

The UK Power Networks confirmed that power had been restored to more than 1,400 homes in the area at around 9.20am this morning but the problem was still affecting many customers in the area.

The organisation has apologised for the inconvenience and said it is trying to restore power to the remaining homes who are without it.

Storrington First School has confirmed it will remain closed due to the school having no heating.

In a message sent out by the school they said: “Due to a power cut and no heating the school will be closing at 11am unless you are able to collect earlier.”
