UPDATE: Serious crash on the A259 at Flansham, Bognor

PART of the A259 at Flansham, Bognor, is closed this evening following a serious collision.

Two cars were involved in the crash at Worms Lane on the A259 at 4.40pm (May 3) and firefighters are working to free people trapped in vehicles.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Two cars were in the collision and there is a road closure at the junction of Flansham Lane and Hoe Lane.

“The crash happened at 4.40pm and our roads policing unit and collision investigation unit are on the scene.”

Fire crews from Bognor, Littlehampton and Chichester are also at the incident alongside ambulance crews, police and the air ambulance.

The road will remain closed for some time.
