UPDATE: Teen taken to hospital after car crashes into tree

A teenager was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree.

Emergency services were called to Bognor Road, near Warnham, at around 10pm last night (Sunday January 3).

A spokesman for the fire services said three crews attended and released the three people from the car.

Two ambulances and a paramedic car were sent to the crash.

A 16-year-old girl suffered an injury to her arm and head and was taken by ambulance to East Surrey Hospital, in Redhill.

A man in his 80s was checked over at the scene for a chest injury but did not require further treatment.

The road was closed by police whilst crews dealt with the crash. It has since been re-opened.
