Four people including a toddler were rushed to hospital after collision on the A22 near Halland.
A family were cut from their car after the collision at around 2.42pm on Thursday August 27.
The driver were all freed by 4.20pm before being placed into the care of the ambulance service for treatment.
A man in his 30s, a woman in her 30s and young boy were taken to Royal Sussex Hospital.
The toddler is not thought to be hurt but was been taken as a precautionary measure. The adults were both in pain but conscious when taken to the hospital.
Another man in his 60s suffering from back pain was taken to Tunbridge Wells hospital by paramedics from the scene.
A Fiat Punto and a Hyundai collided and three people suffered minor injuries. The A22 was closed with the junction of Knowle Lane. It re-opened at 5.25pm
