UPDATE: Three injured in accident on A259 in Icklesham

Three people were injured in a road accident this morning (Sunday, June 28).

Part of the A259 was closed due to the collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

The road remains closed in both directions to traffic between Ore and Winchelsea.

Stagecoach is diverting is 100 bus service via Fairlight.

The incident happened in Icklesham at around 10.15am this morning.

A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Two ambulances, the helicopter and two response cars attended.

“We treated three patients in total, one in a very serious condition. Two with less serious injuries who have been taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital.”
