A group of travellers who pitched up on Sompting Recreation Ground on Friday have now left, the council has confirmed.

Police officers issued the travellers with a legal notice of eviction yesterday (Wednesday, August 9).

A group of travellers were also moved on from Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham on Monday.
