UPDATE: Tribute to ‘talented and friendly’ Horsham teenager

Tributes have been paid to a Horsham girl who was found dead in Brighton on Monday May 11.

Sussex Police said the body of Ciara Egan, 17, of Leechpool Lane, was discovered in a car in Waterhall Road, Brighton, at 4.40pm.

She was a student at Collyer’s in Horsham.

A statement from the college said: “Ciara Egan was a talented and friendly young woman with much to look forward to.

“We are all shocked and very sad at Collyer’s that she is no longer with us; she will be remembered with great affection.

“Our thoughts are with her family and close friends.”

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Her death is not being treated as suspicious and an inquest will be held at a later date.”
