Update: Two injured after car flips near Bodiam

A man and a woman were left injured after a car flipped near Bodiam this morning (Monday, April 11).

The pair escaped serious injuries as they managed to crawl out of their Vauxhall Astra after it overturned on Junction Road at around 5.30am.

South Coast Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a response car to the scene and took at least one of the casualties to the Conquest Hospital.

One East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliance was sent to the incident at around 5.40am and crews made the area safe.

The road was closed because of the incident but reopened at about 7am, and a telegraph pole was also damaged.
