Update: Woman and van collide in Pulborough

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A283 outside Willmer’s of Pulborough at 12.25pm on Tuesday (June 14).

Gary Turner, manager of Willmer’s of Pulborough, said the accident happened as a van was reversing.

He called the emergency services after the woman came into the shop after the collision.

The victim, who was middle-aged, suffered pains to her arm after she collided with the vehicle at low speed as she crossing the road, said Mr Turner.

South East Coast Ambulance Service sent three vehicles and she was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

A police spokesman said the pedestrian was treated for minor injuries and shock. No one else was hurt.

Congestion to Lower Street (A283) was reported after it was blocked temporarily.
