UPDATED: Air ambulance lands on Hastings beach for '˜medical incident'

Paramedics are currently attending a '˜medical incident' in Hastings as the air ambulance landed on the beach this afternoon (Friday, July 22).

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was assisting South East Coast Ambulance Service with the incident at a private address.

The helicopter landed on Pelham Beach earlier this afternoon but left at around 2pm.

An air ambulance spokesman confirmed the helicopter had been deployed from its base in Marden, Kent, to Hastings.

Due to patient confidentiality, no further details of the incident were released.
