Updated: Car and motorbike crash on A271

A car and a motorbike were involved in a crash on the A271 in Herstmonceux yesterday afternoon (Sunday, May 1).

The accident happened on Hailsham Road, between West End, Herstmonceux, and Old Road, Magham Down, at around 4.20pm.

The road was closed in both directions and traffic was diverted.

One person was hurt in the accident, but Sussex Police described their injuries as ‘non life threatening’.
