Updated: Two hurt in Catsfield crash

Three cars were involved in a crash outside the village shop in Catsfield this lunchtime (November 3).

Firefighters from Battle and Bexhill fire stations, police officers and paramedics raced to the scene of the head-on collision on the B2204 just before 12.40pm.

One of the drivers, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital suffering from back and shoulder pain.

A man in his 80s was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The road was closed for more than two hours between Ninfield and Powdermill Lane while the scene was cleared.
