Use your imagination and be part of the annual feast

OCTOBERFEAST in Lewes celebrates local food producers and businesses ... and the joy of all that’s good to eat and drink.

This year’s programme is being put together now and organisers want to hear from anyone who wants to put on an event or promote an activity.

The people of Lewes are being invited to use their imaginations to make this year’s festival better than ever. All ideas are welcome – including food-related theatrical or musical events. The bigger the variety, the better.

Plans so far for this year include An Abundance of Apples - the apple-press at the Market Tower has squeezed out more than 1,000 litres of juice in the last two years and as word got around more and more people brought in their fruit for presssing.

Also on the menu is Pop-Up Suppers. Last year they caught the imagination of many good cooks eager to share their culinary skills with strangers. Second helpings this year.

Beer Britannica will be staged at The Snow Drop pub.

The programme will be available in mid August and OctoberFeast 2012 will be launched at 12noon on September 28 at the Friday Market in the Market Tower.
