Valuable equipment stolen from Crowborough firm


Police are appealing for information after thieves stole eight heavy items from a Crowborough plant hire firm.

Sometime between Friday, November 13 and Monday, November 16 a mechanical ‘Grab’ and seven Socomec ‘breakers’ used to break up surfaces were taken from Coppards Plant Hire in Crowborough Hill, Crowborough.

The equipment, worth some £13,000 together, would have taken a heavy vehicle to remove.

PC Ian Grabiner said; “A Vauxhall Astra Coupe was seen at the site at 7.45pm on Friday 13, and again at 8.55pm on Monday 16, and may be linked to the thefts.

“If you saw anything suspicious at the site over that weekend or if you have heard of the equipment being offered for sale, please let us know via 101@sussex.pnn.police.ukor call 101, quoting serial 357 of 18/11.
