Van crashes into garage at Fairlight

A VAN driver had to be cut free from his vehicle at Battery Hill, Fairlight, on Monday.

The vehicle was travelling down the hill when it left the road and collided with a garage, partially demolishing it.

The Kent Air Ambulance was also called to attend landed at Pett Level due to fog conditions in the Fairlight area.

Two fire engines and a fire rescue vehicle attended the scene as well as an ambulance and paramadic car and a number of police vehicles.

The driver was being treated at the Cobquest Hospital this week.
