Vandals smash window and steal fire extinguishers from Lewes bus depot

Police are appealing for witnesses after buses were broken into at a depot in Phoenix Place, Lewes.

Officers were called to the scene on the Phoenix Industrial Estate on Thursday morning (November 15) and discovered that four buses had been attacked, with nearly 50 windows broken and fire extinguishers stolen from all of them.

The site, alongside the River Ouse, is overlooked from the opposite bank near Tescos and officers believe that the offenders would have made a fair bit of noise. Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area between 8.30pm on Wednesday evening and 5.30am on Thursday is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 211 of 15/11.
