Victorian visit for Northchapel Primary School
CHILDREN in Willow Class at Northchapel Primary School finished their Victorian topic in style with a visit to Petworth House.
The class, who have been learning about the lives of servants in Victorian times, dressed up for their time-travelling day.
Teacher Julia Robinson said: “We travelled back in time to 1890. It was very exciting, some of the highlights were making butter in the dairy, visiting the housemaids attic bedrooms and laying the dining table for dinner. The children thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as servants and experiencing life ‘in-service’.”
