VICTORY FOR PRESIDENT'S TEAM

WEST Chiltington and Thakeham Cricket Club is enjoying a busy season and the annual President's XI v West Chiltington and Thakeham match was played recently with the President's XI winning for the third time in three years.

The president managed to get together a team consisting mainly of a mix of players who have a history with the club, such has Grant Morrish from league rivals Brighton Insurance and Peter Roberts from Storrington.

The home team restricted the Presidents XI to a respectable 161 with Grant Morrish scoring 48. The WCTCC innings did not start well with the loss of star batsman Brian Chambers without scoring.

This was a position they were unable to recover from as the Presidents XI's bowling attack, led by Tom Chaloner, bowled with accuracy and penetration.

Although Rob Llewellyn put up some resistance, WCTCC were skittled out for 86.
