VIDEO: British Airways protest over pay at Brighton's i360

Cabin crew for British Airways mixed fleet have taken their battle to the town’s seafront as part of their seven day strike, which started yesterday.
Unite national officer Oliver Richardson said: “Menacing the low paid mixed fleet cabin crew with threats and sanctions for exercising their right to strike is a shameful way for British Airways to behave.

“We would urge the public and customers of the i360 to offer their support and stand with British Airways’ mixed fleet cabin crew and say ‘BA low pay no way.’”
Unite union has said ‘workers at the British Airways i360 are paid at least the living wage and a starting salary which is nearly £5,500 more than that of mixed fleet cabin crew’.
BA however has said its pay rates are competitive with the industry. The airline has stated its pay offer for mixed fleet crew is ‘consistent with the deal accepted by 92 per cent of colleagues across the airline, most of whom are represented by Unite’.
