Hundreds of people are lining the streets of Lewes to welcome the Queen to the county town.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are expected to arrive by car. They will then proceed to Harvey’s Brewery, Lewes, the oldest independent brewery in Sussex.
They are expected to arrive at 11.55am, and will visit the factory and see the bottling plant in action before taking lunch as guests of Harvey’s.
One woman had travelled from Worthing to see the Queen. She said it was a special moment for her to be in Lewes because she had missed out on seeing the Queen several times before.
She said: “I went to see her a few years ago but I fainted and so I missed the whole thing. I then went to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations but I could only see the back of her head.
“We were up early to be here today, we have a good spot and so I am hoping I will get to see her today.”
