VIDEO: Cub scouts box kart championships

CUB scouts from all over the Chichester District and further afield are taking part in a full day of box kart racing at Goodwood Motor Circuit.

A team from the 6th Supreme Box Kart Championship for cub scouts

The cubs scouts had their work cut out for them, with 180 heats set to take place throughout the day.

Organiser Stephen Bell, said: “Box kart racing is great fun, it is such a good day especially as the event encourages team work.

“All the cub scouts and their leaders have put in so much effort to enter their cart today. They are made entirely from scrap. The cubs are doing so well, they have got so much energy.”

The championship has been sponsored by Woods Travel who have also provided money for trophies and medals for the winners.

The Littlehampton sea cadets were also at the event, with their marching band and parents and cub scout leaders were cheering throughout the day.
