The view of the eclipse, which took place between 8.30am and 10am this morning (March 20) was thwarted by cloud covering much of the county, however pupils did catch a glimpse at around 8.50am.

Tech-savvy pupils used augmented reality on their mobile phones to track the event, which works by using the images from real-world environment and supplementing them with computer-generated images or sounds.
