The four-year-old male enjoys a game with toys, particularly tennis balls, and will happily play alone.

As Wally has a condition affecting the knees, any future vet bills involved will be covered by Dogs Trust on the shared adoption scheme.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager, said: “He moves around fine but is not able to do very long walks, or repetitive running such as fetch games.

“Wally would like to be the only dog in his new home and would suit walks in quieter areas where they are not lots of dogs around.

“He will need continued training to help him relax in the company of dogs in the future. He would really like his new owners to have plenty of time to settle him in at home.

“He travels fine in the car so you can go for a nice drive to different walking areas.”

Wally is comfortable around teenagers aged 16-plus but is unable to live with cats or small animals and would benefit from a garden.
