VIDEO: Eastbourne rail crash kills five
Today (Saturday August 25) marks the 60th anniversary of a tragic train crash at Eastbourne Railway Station which left five people dead.
The accident happened at 7.27am on a Monday morning when the 7.45pm sleeper-car steam train originating from Glasgow “ran past the home signal at Eastbourne at danger”.
Eastbourne man Eddie Oades is leading a campaign for a memorial at the station.
