VIDEO: Murder probe after man dies

Police received a report of a hit-and-run incident in Rowan Way, Bognor, just after 10pm on Monday, May 13.

Charlie Hancock, of Nyetimber Lane, Pagham, was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, where he died in the early hours of the morning.

A 41-year-old local man, believed to be the driver of the car, was arrested for grievous bodily harm at the time.

This is now being treated as a homicide investigation by Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team working in conjunction with colleagues in West Sussex Division.

A police spokesman confirmed the force is liaising with Mr Hancock’s family.
