VIDEO: Peter Andre opens Worthing businesses

A CROWD gathered to see popstar and TV personality Peter Andre open a water sports academy and shop in Worthing today.

Brothers and champion windsurfers Nik and Ant Baker invited Peter to officially open the new Baker-Academy and K-66 premises in Beach Parade.

Peter said: “Being in Australia for so many years it’s all about water sports. This is great, I admire them for bringing this to a place in the UK where the sun’s not always out because we have kids staying indoors and they are trying to get them outdoors.

“They are a great family, my kids are big fans of Nik’s kids and vice versa.”

The Baker-Academy, ran by Ant, provides windsurfing, kitesurfing, fitness and paddleboarding tuition for people of all ages. Nik’s K-66 team are the UK representatives for windsurfing brands Fanatic, North, ION, Northshore Fins and sell products including wetsuits, clothing, paddleboards and more.

Ant, 38, of Alinora Avenue, in Goring, said: “The idea of this is ultimately about the coaching and the training. We want people to stick with it which is why all our trainers are national and international superstars.

“The fact we are on the coast here in Worthing is an absolutely amazing place to do it.”
