VIDEO: Police officer called to housing meeting as tempers rise

A POLICE officer was called to Arun District Council’s offices in Littlehampton after crowds became angry about not being let in to a crucial housing meeting.

Large crowds of people packed the ground floor of the council building but were told they would not be let into the meeting because the public gallery was full.

Tempers threatened to boil over as crowd members accused the council of being unprepared for the number of people who would want to watch the meeting.
