A 79-year-old man died after being stabbed following a collision between two cars on the A24 at Findon, north of Worthing, shortly before 8.40pm. Police are hunting a white man with a thin face, aged between 30 and 40, 6ft tall with shoulder-length, brown wavy hair. His car was described as a pale-coloured, old-style vehicle.

People have reacted in shock on social media, with #Findon trending UK-wide on Twitter. And on the Worthing Herald Facebook page, Debbie Dilks wrote: “The police need to give people advice now on what to do if you’re involved in an accident. Instinct is to get out. But until this low life is caught any accident I’m involved in I’m locking my doors staying put rip to the poor victim and condolences to his family,” while Siobhan Schofield wrote: “Absolutely shocking, I’m scared for my children growing up in this world.”
