Tim used to be chairman of Sotheby’s in Billinghurst and took part in auctions to raise money for the restoration trust, which the Festival of Flowers also supports.
He added: “I’m immensely proud of our 900-year-old cathedral...and will do what I can to promote this marvellous affair.”
‘The Artist’s Palette’ will be the theme for next year’s festival, which takes place from June 1-4, 2016 and regularly attracts 15,000 visitors.
