VIDEO: UFO spotted over Worthing

That’s what residents were asking recently when an unidentified flying object was seen circling in the sky over north Worthing.

The video was taken by Dave Grant and shared on Facebook by Lyndon Tourle, with dozens of users commenting with their suggestions.

One user thought it could be a leftover firework from bonfire night, with others saying it was a meteor or an alien spacecraft.

Lyndon eventually got to the bottom of the mystery, and revealed it was a plane from the FireFlies aerobatic display team who attach flares to the wingtips of their craft.

At least the people of Worthing can sleep easy knowing the town isn’t under attack from alien invaders.
