WORTHING and Adur police district commander James Asser and West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman Gary Towson have spoken to the Herald about today's fire.

Hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes as there was a risk acetylene cylinders on the site might explode.

The 200 metre exclusion zone was reduced to 80m at lunchtime today (Thursday, December 3), and includes Canterbury Road and Friars Walk.

Rail services were suspended between Worthing and Littlehampton, and are about to resume.
