Village B&B reaches final of prestigious tourism awards

THE owners of an award-winning village B&B are set to have another award to add to their growing collection.

Kester House in Sedlescombe has been selected as a finalist in the Bed & Breakfast /Guest Accommodation of the Year Category in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2014.

This means the Kester House is guaranteed to receive either a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended award at the awards ceremony, which will take place at Cheltenham Racecourse on Monday May 12.

Derek and Monique Wright, joint proprietors of Kester House B&B, were thrilled to receive the good news.

They said: “Hearing the news of being a finalist across the whole of England has put a smile on our faces and a thrill in our hearts . Being recognised in this way is just so exciting.”

And Kester House could soon be in line for a yet another award.

The AA have has listed the B&B as one of the 25 finalists out of 3000 establishments in the AA Awards for Friendliest B&B 2014.

Derek and Monique have submitted a questionnaire and are due to hear shortly if they have won an AA Award.
