Village hands outfree poppy seedsto mark centenary


Conservation Society chairman Mervyn Hayes said: “We would like people in the village to plant in the garden, window boxes or just in a pot to remember all the men of Northiam who died in WW1.”
He added: “We gave out over 250 bags of Flanders Poppy seeds and have ordered more because of demand. Other villages have contacted me to find out where to get the seeds.

Hide AdPlanting the seeds forms part of a wider project which aims to create a world-wide poppy field in memory of the fallen.
