MICHELHAM PRIORY BRIDGE: Motorists are warned that there is a deep drop off the left-hand verge on the Caneheath side of Michelham Priory Bridge at the place where vehicles have to pull over in order to give priority to the traffic coming out of Upper Dicker.
Judging by the score marks in the tarmac, at least one vehicle has ended up grounding their axle through dropping into the hole. ESCC Highways have been informed of the problem.
CHILVER BRIDGE ROAD: Between June 30 and July 2 at Chilver Bridge Road, ESCC Highways will be carrying out patch repairs outside Tree Tops. If the date is delayed then the revised date will be displayed on the Advanced Warning Signs on the road. The work itself will take place between 7am and 5pm, during which time Chilver Bridge Road will be closed. You will be able to gain access but you may have to take the diversion route on occasion.
