PRODUCE SHOW: Tomorrow, Saturday, in Arlington Village Hall, the Arlington and Upper Dicker Produce and Flower Show will be held. The event will include, at 3pm, the grand opening ceremony of the village hall’s refurbished kitchen.

HARVEST FLOWER FESTIVAL: On September 11, 12 and 13, there will be a Harvest Flower Festival in St Pancras Church between 10am and 5.30pm. Free admission with voluntary donations to St Pancras Church. Refreshments will be available at the church.

BARN DANCE: On Friday, September 11 starting at 8pm, there will be a barn dance at the Bluebell Barn, Bates Green in Arlington. Tickets at £8 may be obtained from Chapter 12 Wine Bar in Hailsham. There will be a barbecue and string band.

PARISH COUNCIL: The next meeting of Arlington Parish Council will be held on Thursday September 17 at 7,30pm in Arlington Village Hall.

BERWICK PARISH COUNCIL: The next meeting of Berwick Parish Council will be held on Thursday September 24 at 7.30pm in Berwick Village Hall. Berwick Parish Council will be commenting on application WD2015/1657F for 7 Downsway, Station Road at its September Meeting. The application is for a proposed garden studio. Full details of this application can be found on Members of the public are welcome to attend and to comment on any applications being considered. As time is often limited at the meetings, the Parish Council also welcomes comments via e-mail ( Comments should be sent no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting in order to be considered by the Parish Council.

RESERVOIR: On Saturday, October 17, from 10am until 4pm, South East Water will be holding an Open Day at the Arlington Water Treatment Works near Berwick. Come and see behind the scenes, how your water is collected, stored and treated to provide safe drinking water. Also learn about how to use water wisely and reduce your bills. Entry is strictly by ticket only, places subject to confirmation. To book please contact 01732 375 410 between 9am and 5pm weekdays. Conditions apply and ID will be required.
