STOOLBALL: We won both our last two games of the season. Tuesday, Barcombe 196 for 2, Janet Hughes 83. Ditchling 84 for 8. Thursday, Barcombe 160 for 6, Janet Hughes 91. Plumpton 112 for 5. This means that Barcombe have won all 18 of their league games this season and are 2015 Mid Division League winners. This is the first time in the club’s history that we have won all our games in a season, congratulations to the team. We have decided not to enter the County Tournament at Seaford this year (too many on holiday), but we do play the winners of North Division (Newick) in the preliminary round of the League Championship on August 9 at 2pm at Nutley. The winners of this match go through to the semi-finals on August 30. Just a note that we still need two more teams for our mixed tournament on August 31. The bonfire society are running a bar, maybe we can get them to enter a team as well.

SNOOKER: Barcombe Snooker Club has the need for new members so we can enter the league and keep the club from folding. Please contact Derek on 01273400993 or e-mail at The club is situated in the new village hall and keys are held by Derek. Ladies are more than welcome, and Barcombe fielding a lady would be terrific. We have played in the league since 1925, at the old hall.
