GARDEN CLUB: Barcombe Garden Club meet on Tuesday, 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the village hall. Darren Everest will be talking about Growing Dahlias. Darren is a Dahlia enthusiast who has been growing them since he was 12 years old. He likes to show his plants, both locally and nationally with mixed success. Members free, visitors £3. All very welcome.
SHORT MAT BOWLS: February 28, home to Herstmonceux 44-53, a draw four points each. March 5, away to Hadlow Down 38-62, another draw four points each. Fifth away draw in our last away game. This was a very important four points as Hadlow remain four points above us and have three tough away games left. We are at home for our last three games so might avoid the wooden spoon. Thursday, was our Club Singles. John Simpson beat Karen Brown to win a closely fought final.
