Bishopstone Summer Fete is tomorrow, Saturday, from noon to 4pm on the Village Green. Contributions are needed for the bottle, bric-a-brac, cake, craft materials, plant, Linens and toy stalls and for the children’s tombola. The refreshments stall would also welcome donations of homemade cakes. There will be Punch and Judy shows, face painting, portraits and, of course, the dog show (registration 1pm, show commences 2pm). Proceeds from this event go towards the upkeep of St Andrew’s Church.

OPEN AIR SERVICE for Those at Rest in St Andrew’s Churchyard will be held on Sunday at 4pm in St Andrew’s Church, followed by refreshments in Bishopstone Parish Hall. All are welcome to come and remember a loved one.

VOLUNTEERS: More volunteers are still needed to help keep the historic St Andrew’s Church open for visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

FREE HORSE MANURE: Is available on west (Newhaven) side of Bishopstone Road between Bishopstone Estate and Bishopstone Pond: help yourself, but please return or replace the bags
