VILLAGE FAIR: This annual event is held in aid of St John’s Church, and will start at noon tomorrow, Saturday. At 12.30pm the Terrace Bistro will be open for lunches, hog roast and locally sourced barbecue. There will be a licensed bar, refreshments, teas, ice creams as well. Music will be provided by Wealden Brass from 2pm to 4pm. There will be new fun games and competitions on the Green, a vehicle display, family bouncy castle, and a display of Irish dancing. Stalls include cakes, produce, collectables, gifts, face painting, bric-a-brac, raffle, tombola and books. All this for £1 entry (adults, children under 14 enter free).
CHURCH SERVICES: St John’s Bodle Street: 9.30am Rogation Family Service. The congregation will process around the village, stopping at key points for a hymn, prayers and readings. The service ends at the church, followed by refreshments. Warbleton Parish Church: 11am Morning Worship with Holy Communion and Children’s Sunday Club. St Giles, Dallington: 6pm Evensong.
PARISH COUNCIL: The parish council meets at 7pm on Thursday at the Bodle Street Village Hall. The public are welcome to attend, and there is an early opportunity for parishioners to raise matters.
