CHURCH SERVICES: St John’s Bodle Street: 9.30am Family service for Sea Sunday. This is an opportunity to give thanks for those whose serve on board ships whether in the Royal Navy or in the mercantile fleet including locally to us fishing boats and ferries and of course life boats.
Warbleton Parish Church: 11am Morning Worship with Holy Communion. St Giles, Dallington: 6.30pm Evensong.
BSGWI: A slightly earlier start on Tuesday afternoon at 2pm in the village hall car park, for a visit to Ashburnham Place, for a walk through the delightful gardens followed by tea in the Orangery. This was built in 1777 by Capability Brown. By meeting at the hall car park, car sharing can be arranged. Ashburnham Place is in a beautiful setting with the lakes in front of the house and woodland surrounding.
PARISH COUNCIL: The council meets at 7pm at the Bodle Street Village Hall on Thursday evening. Members of the public are welcome to attend and parishioners can raise matters fairly early in the meeting.
FLOWER SHOW: The annual flower show takes place on Saturday August 8 in the village hall. Schedules are available from the White Horse Inn and shops in Windmill Hill and Herstmonceux.
