lt’s all very well for Lewes Lib Dem Councillors to show po faced concern on your front page over the proposed closure of the Lewes Women’s refuge. However, much as they would like to, Lewes Lib Dems can’t have it both ways. Their Government has approved savage and unnecessary cuts across the public sector which have left councils like East Sussex which little option but to cut vital services.

Lewes Lib Dems and their MP, Norman Baker are implicated along with the Tories in the unfair cuts affecting low income families such as the Bedroom Tax and Council Tax increases. No amount of doublespeak from Lib Dem Councillors or Norman Baker will fool Lewes voters into letting them off the hook.
