I was delighted to read your article about speed limits around Lewes Railway Station. I had just bought your paper at the Station, after having risked my life crossing over from the cash machine opposite. I take the trains twice a week, but seldom use Station Road because it is so frightening. I normally go in by the less dangerous Pinwell Road entrance.
Having said that, the 5-road junction at the bottom of Station Street is never easy to negotiate, and the fact that cars are always parked in the lower Station Street loading and handicapped spaces impairs visibility considerably if you want to cross higher up the road. (One early morning they were piled high with snow, indicating that they had been parked there all night!)
Thank you for covering matters of concern to residents.
