DITCHLING WI: For our March meeting we welcomed Liz Gibson, a volunteer with the Surrey, Sussex and Kent Air Ambulance. She gave us an illustrated talk on the details of the work of the Ambulance and much about the need for this Ambulance in our area to save lives. They answer two hundred calls a year, for accidents and emergencies and are self-funding, so are always very grateful for people who donate to them, either by fundraising or by donations. In 2013 this was the first to fly by night which has opened up yet another way to get patients to hospital as quickly as possible and save lives. Our next meeting is on Thursday April 6 at 2.15pm. Ray Sparks, History of Magic. Visitors are always welcome. Further information available from Briony Coomber on 01273 845069.
