KING’S HEAD CANTER: On Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, the 18th King’s Head Canter will take place in aid of the Carnival Society. Teams and individuals are invited to enter the race which will start at 11am from The Six Bells in Chiddingly, finishing at the King’s Head. Teams should include three people who live, work or play in the village. Entry forms are available from the Village Stores or from Stuart Mills on 01825 840653, also online at www.kingsheadcanter5k.org.uk.

POLITICS IN THE PUB: The next debate will be on the subject of (Why) Do We To Need Belong To The EU, and will take place at the King’s Head on Wednesday September 2 at 7.45pm. Buy yourself a drink and make your way to the Club Room to discuss this topical subject with other local people with an interest in progressive politics. By popular demand guest contributor Lloyd Russell-Moyle will be making a return visit. Entry is free but a donation of £1 will be accepted to defray costs.
