BALLET CLASSES: The Milestones School of Ballet will be offering lessons at the Sports Pavilion in East Hoathly from Wednesday September 14, and then every Wednesday during term time. All children from the ages of 5 to 10 years are invited along, the first lesson being free. Lessons thereafter will be between £3 and £4.50 per class, depending on age. PRESERVATION SOCIETY: The next event held by the society will be Talking Machines by David Homewood in East Hoathly Village Hall today, Friday, at 7.30pm. This event will take a look at the invention of the phonograph, gramophone and record industry, with demonstrations on original wind up machines mostly over 100 years old playing recordings from the past.
