ST LAURENCE CHURCH: Tomorrow, Saturday, at 11 am, there will be a blessing of all pets. Everyone is welcome with their pets. On Sunday at 10am Harvest Festival will be celebrated and Harvest lunch in the Parish Hall at noon. There will be a retiring collection at the Eucharist which will go to the work of USPG helping with the refugee crisis, as will the proceeds from the harvest auction which will take place after the harvest lunch.

CONGRATULATIONS: To Georgie and Martin at the Swan Pub on the birth of their son who they are naming Ernie.

SUPER BLOOD MOON: I reminded everyone to watch, and then missed it. My husband saw it and said he didn’t wish to wake me. But I have seen pictures and those people I wanted to see it did so with my little help they have that picture for ever.

SPIDERS: October is the month for spiders, they will be looking for mates especially in the warmth of houses. They are remarkable little creatures, we were fascinated when we saw a wasp quickly caught by the thread of a spider and quickly wrapped in a cocoon of thread, and then hauled up to the spider’s web, it all happened so quickly.
