BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS: 2nd Heathfield Brownies are celebrating their 50th birthday. If you were at Broad Oak School or The Goward Hall please come along and celebrate on April 13 at the Goward Hall, 2pm to 4pm. The present Brownies would love to see you. Audrey.

ROSES FOR REMEMBRANCE: Friends are invited to support the display of Roses for Remembrance of loved ones during Songs of Praise at St George’s Church on Sunday April 28 at 4pm. Please do sign the form in St George’s and make your donations to Anne Porter by April 21.

CHURCH SERVICES: Sunday, 8am Holy Communion (said service) at All Saints’ Church led by Rev’d Roger Kenward; 9am Holy Communion at St George’s Church led by Rev’d Mitch and Dr Sue Greener; 10.30am Holy Communion (sung service) at St Richard’s Church led by Rev’d Mitch and Dr Sue Greener; 6.30pm Lenten Reflections, at Heathfield Community Centre. The last in a series of five sessions during Lent, organised by Churches Together in Heathfield and District.

HEATHFIELD CHAPEL: Punnetts Town. The evening services resume from April. The services to be held on Sunday will be at 11am and be lead by Roger Lumley from Tunbridge Wells and will include Communion. On the same day at 6.30pm Ray Bodkin from Hailsham will be our speaker. Philip Laver from Bexhill is our expected speaker for both the 11am and 6.30pm services. An invitation to any of these services is given to you from the leadership and congregation.

FOOD BANK: Items are urgently needed. We have been asked if supporters would be able to donate some Easter Eggs over the next two weeks please. They have plenty of beans and soups but other supplies are very low. If you are able to donate an extra item, it will be gratefully received. There are boxes for donations every Sunday in all three churches. Thank you.

BOWLS CLUB: Cross in Hand Bowls Club will be opening the green on Saturday April 20 from 11am. Do please come and join us. No equipment needed, just soft shoes. We are a friendly club. Newcomers welcome as well as old members. Just come and have a go. We look forward to welcoming you. For more information call John on 01435 867979.

FARMERS MARKET: Heathfield Farmers Market on Easter Saturday, April 20, in the Co-Op car park, 9am to 12.30pm. Easter hunt, find the hidden pictures in the market between 10am and 10.30am and win Crème eggs. Easter hat parade and competition, 10.30am arrival for 10.45am judging. Open to all local primary school children, girls and boys. Winner in each category (years R, 1 and 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6) will win a large egg. Judging by Huw Merriman, MP and Co-op staff member. LILIES: Memorial Easter Lilies in All Saints Church, Old Heathfield. £5 for each lily. If you would like to remember a loved one by sponsoring an Easter lily at All Saints Church, please add their name and yours to the list in church. Please put the same details on an envelope with your payment and either hand it to the churchwarden by April 7 or ask for BACs payment details. Please do not leave your payment in the church.
