BINGO: Fr Bill Haymaker says: ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank all those who attended the charity Bingo afternoon recently. The charity, Project New Life, benefited in excess of £430 and I, Father Bill Haymaker, am so grateful. Every penny will be spent on the children who are in desperate need of medication, food and clothing. My special thanks must go to Teresa, Jane and Jean for organising both the bingo and the tea and of course we mustn’t forget both Bryan and Dave (73 year old Dave) on their calling and checking skills, I think some of us gave them a bit of a trying time at one point or another. So, may I be the first to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, my children will definitely be having a better one thanks to you, God Bless you all.’

LIME CROSS CHRISTMAS: Over the weekend of November 28 and 29 there will be Christmas trees, decorations and gifts, a cooking demonstration, wine tasting station, pop-up dining, hog roast and more at Lime Cross Nursery from 8.30am to 5pm. There will also be autumn planting tips, and reviving Madeira mountain ash, orchid surgery, book signing and much more.
