HISTORY GROUP: Lewes History Group meet on Monday, 7pm for 7.30pm start at King’s Church, Brooks Road. Historical Fiction: What Comes First - Research or Imagination? Beverley Elphick. Local author, Beverley Elphick gives the Lewes History Group talk in April. Based on her two Lewes-based novels, Three Round Towers and Retribution, Beverley’s talk will explore whether research or imagination is the key to establishing the framework for successful historical fiction. She will share details of her research material that put the stories into context. Signed books will be on sale. Everyone is welcome. TRINITY CHURCH SOUTHOVER: And St John sub Castro. Do join us for the Love in Action Litter Pick on Saturday April 13 from 9am to noon in conjunction with Litter Free Lewes. The litter pick will start from Café 12/31 in the Trinity Centre at St John sub Castro where we will allocate streets to be done; it will go on throughout the morning so you can come when you like and spend as much time as you like. And why not stay for a cuppa afterwards or stop in at Café 12/31 at any point during the morning. PASSION PLAY GROUP: We are holding an Easter Drama Workshop for ages 10 to 16yrs on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18, with a performance on Easter Saturday April 20. The workshops will be from 10am to 4pm each day in the Trinity centre at St at John sub Castro. Booking is essential. Please book by April 10. Voluntary donation £10. So if you enjoy acting, devising plays, having fun? Come and work with our team of experienced actors, directors, drama teachers and youth leaders and create a short fun play to perform in the town on Easter Saturday.
